The much-anticipated teaser showcased the main campus of Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, along with the U.S.S. Athena, a key part of the Academy's setting. Additionally, new details about the characters were unveiled. Academy Award winner Holly Hunter stars as Nahla Ake, the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy and the Captain of the U.S.S. Athena, who is also a long-lived half-Lanthanite. The Starfleet Academy cadets include: Sandro Rosta is Caleb Mir, an orphan with a troubled past — and unlikely Starfleet cadet. Plus, Zoë Steiner as Tarima Sadal, a Betazoid and daughter of the president of Betazed. Robert Picardo, reprising his iconic role as The Doctor. Tig Notaro, reprising her role as Jett Reno. Oded Fehr, reprising his role as Admiral Vance. Recurring Guest Star Gina Yashere as Commander Lura Thok, a Klingon/Jem’Hadar hybrid who is the chancellor’s First Officer and Cadet Master. Recurring Guest Star and Academy Award nominee, Paul Giamatti, as part Klingon, part Tellarite Nus Braka, the season’s villain with an ominous past connected to one of our cadets. The announcements were made during today's Star Trek universe presentation in Hall H at Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA. The Star Trek: Starfleet Academy panel portion featured an exclusive conversation with executive producers and co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau as well as series star Holly Hunter, plus cadets Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins and Bella Shepard. The panel was moderated by fellow series cast member and Star Trek legend Robert Picardo. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy follows a group of young cadets chasing their shared dreams of hope and optimism. Under the strict guidance of their instructors, they learn what it takes to become Starfleet officers while experiencing budding friendships, intense rivalries, first loves, and a new threat that endangers both the Academy and the Federation. The series is co-run by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, who also serve as executive producers alongside Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber. The Popular Discord Alternative Guilded Will Shutdown
Roblox is shutting down Guilded by the end of 2025. After purchasing Guilded in 2021 for $90 million as a Discord competitor for gaming communities, it didn’t gain the popularity Roblox had hoped for. In 2024, Roblox required all Guilded users to create a Roblox account to continue using the app, which frustrated many users and led to a significant decline in activity. Now, Roblox has decided to focus on one community platform instead of managing two, opting to close Guilded entirely and dedicate efforts to improving Roblox Communities. The shutdown was announced on September 28, 2025, with Guilded ceasing operations at the end of the year. Roblox plans to integrate some of Guilded’s features, like announcements and polls, directly into Roblox Communities to ensure creators don’t lose everything when the platform closes. @Roblox_RTC's post has gained over 200k views on X since it went live, sharing news about Roblox shutting down Guilded. Well-known Roblox creators like KreekCraft have responded to the post. The account has been actively spreading the word to ensure everyone is aware that Guilded will no longer be available after the end of this year. On September 28, 2025, Roblox announced that it would shut down the Guilded chat app by the end of the year. This update was shared in an official post on the Roblox Developer Forum. Starting December 31, 2025, all chat channels and groups on Guilded will cease to function as Roblox shifts its focus to enhancing its primary community tools. - Tag Suggestioins
Unfortunately, no there is not. Thereises to be a way to avcess all tags in like a page format, but haven't figured out how to do that yet in ICv5- Tag Suggestioins
Is there a way to enable a tag cloud to use with the clubs?- Balancing a Governmental Budget: Needs, Wants & Social Programs
Utopia is a flawed idea though - you can't achieve it. Someone is always going to have and someone will not. This will create division and jealousy. The only way around it would be to brainwash the citizens into believing that everything is perfect. There is also going to be a natural division due to differences in physical appearance, emotional ideologies and religion. As much as we would love a utopia, I think a more practical approach would work more efficiently. Necessary for the health of citizens: utilities (power, clean running water) infrastructure (services that provide, maintain and upkeep said utilities) I think everything outside of those two could be categorized into wants and not needs. As to how to balance it, I think it would depend on determining how much of the budget is needed to maintain, upgrade or improve the first two and then have it begin to bleed into social programs for the sick and elderly, then public transit, etc.Sinistra Sensei created a club: Assassin's Creed- Tag Suggestioins
This topic for tag suggestions. Seeing as we have closed tagging system, we need tags to use SEO correctly so if you have any suggestions let me know here.- Favorite story arc?
S1-5 is the Winchester Gospel - the main core story of the Winchesters, their role on earth and the apocalypse. S6-8 is the Purgatory Era - starting the whole thing with Castiel and Crowley with the souls from Purgatory, the Leviathans and Dean and Cas being in Purgatory ending with the trials, the angels falling and Castiel being human. S9-11 is the Heaven and Hell (or Angels and Demons) Era - starting with Sam being possessed by Gadreel, the Mark of Cain and Dean becoming a demon ending with the release of the Darkness and Cas letting Lucifer posses him to defeat Amara. S12-14 is the Alternative Universes Era - starting with Mary being back and introducing the BMOL, Cas dying, dealing with Jack, the AU and all types of ensemble cast type of characters (most ending up dead), ending with Chuck showing up to fuck things up. S15 is The End - it gives a new view to the whole story, where it all ties together and (hopefully) will have a satisfying ending.- Club of the Month?
a thought I had was doing club of the month. The winning club would be featured for the fallowing month. This would promote more content.- How do you want to handle gaming?
Franchises like Assassin's Creed Battlefield Call of Duty we can do a general club. as for general gaming we can do a general gaming forum?Daedalus created a club: Battlefield 6- Balancing a Governmental Budget: Needs, Wants & Social Programs
Some governments set their citizens up for failure. This could be the fact that there are illegal aliens that get more then the people of that nation. Is there a way to balance out this? Yes, we need to create a society that our main goal is not money, Racism is not a problem, and people respect one another. But this only happens in Sci-Fi content such as Star Trek. I think if the world adopted the utopia that Star Trek symbolizes, I think the world would be a better place- How do you want to handle gaming?
Do you want clubs for the consoles and games, or the games or uncertain at this point?- What anime got you started?
I think for me it was probably Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z. Though, I do remember watching a lot of shows that I didn't realize were anime until I was much, much older. I couldn't pinpoint exactly which was my first anime. I remember one of the first ones I actually watched from start to finish consecutively was Code Geass and Gundam SEED.- What anime are you currently watching?
Working my way through Black Clover right now.- Balancing a Governmental Budget: Needs, Wants & Social Programs
Is there a true method or best practice to the balancing of a federal budget? How do you weigh the needs and wants of your people, determining what is necessary for their well-being vs luxuries?- Upcoming 2025 Films You Want to Watch
